UP
Pixar has always made excellent movies. From the first Toy Story to Ratatouille (I haven’t had a chance to see Wall-E yet) the stories and characters have been very memorable.
This teaser for their next movie UP continues that fine tradition in an approx. 45 second video. Enjoy

Psychological Warfare
With growing technology, how long do you think it’ll be before cars themselves have the WiFi capability and the numerous hackers out there trying to wage war on it.
Well, Duh
The license plate of the car in front of me this morning merging onto the highway and then traveling at sub-highway speeds? TARDIE. You may read that how you want, but I intend to read that as “tardy” and it fits!
The Most Useless Spam. Ever.
You might say that “any spam equals useless” and I would have to agree. But as you can see from this prized piece of spam pictured, it has reached a depth of uselessness that other spam just can’t reach.
The majority of spam is easily recognizable by the usual prepossession to buy pharmacetucal drugs by the names of “Vi.AGra” or “A.van.dia” or whatever happens to be the one most talked about in the news of late.
The other usual give away are the plethora of long links that will most definitely lead you down a path to get your computer totally infected by all sort of malfeasances.
However, this sort of utterly useless spam with no name, no subject and no text in the body is truly a waste unlike any other. This is akin to that phone call from the anonymous or blocked caller during dinner time and the subsequent hang-up when you actually choose to answer the phone.
Why even bother?
Cheers
The Polls on CNN
I frequent CNN.com (yeah, yeah) during the day to get a gist of the daily news and one of the things I’ve noticed is the little poll on the bottom of the page that is usually somehow related to the biggest story on the page.
Curiously, I’ve found that the possible answers either have you agreeing with or going against the gist of the story. I, always, seem to want a third option of “I really could care less” or similar. This was especially true during all the fuss over Anna Nicole Smith.
I would imagine that if you’re going to create a poll, you should also have an option to ridicule the poll itself.

Car Idling Is Bad
The Canadian Office of Energy Efficiency has suggested that if you’re going to idle in your car for more than 10 seconds, you should turn your car off to save, not only gas, your money, but also the environment.
I was first exposed to this phenomenon while visiting India in 2000. Traffic lights there, like anywhere else, consume some 2+ minutes of your life and in response to the atrocious air quality in most cities, the local governments had instructed motorists to shut down their vehicles. What Code Doesn’t Do
6. Code cannot be cracked by an 8 year old kid in a matter of seconds
Sorry, no. Just no. #
A hilarious list of things dispelling what Hollywood thinks that code and “hackers” are capable of doing. I gotta especially agree with #10; when I first saw Independence Day, I had to call BS on that.

Some ‘interesting’ English subtitles used in films made in Hong Kong.
