Phising is a common scheme used primarily through email. You’ve all gotten the emails from Paypal, Ebay, and various banks claiming that your account was compromised and you have to follow a link to “verify” your information.

In the IM world, it is possible to use a combination of phising and social engineering to get people to divulge information they clearly shouldn’t. But once in a while this sort of a scheme backfires and the resulting hilarity is classic!
