The Day Has Arrived - October 26, 2006 -
Today is the day that we find out whether we are having a boy or girl. Geeta, needless to say, has been anxiously waiting for this day to arrive for quite a while. She naturally has the inability to be kept in dark about anything for long, and to have survived until now without knowing about this big a surprise is an amazing feat no doubt.
Amongst many decisions that are impending; baby naming comes to mind, people ask why we want to know the sex of the baby. I don’t think we see not knowing as necessarily any more fun than just knowing that we are having a boy or girl. I think it would be nice to refer to the baby as him or her rather than “it”.
Also, I imagine that knowing the sex will allow us to focus on things that only affect one sex, clothes, name and so on.
Oh the fun!
Turns out that our baby was being very uncooperative today. So though we could tell that it seemed completely healthy, there was little else we could tell.
We had to visit a non-diagnostic ultrasound place, but we found out that we’re expecting a little girl.
Cheers

Just a matter of no good angle, or was it one of those deals where you can tell they think it’s a girl, but don’t want to say for sure?
The baby was essentially facing us most of the time. In one shot the baby had it’s legs crossed, and then another time the hand (palm) was in the way. The technician just didn’t see enough to even bother guessing.
Bummer, sorry to hear it. Going to try and talk them into another scan later?
Turns out that they’re only going to do one scan and no more till the delivery. So we’re going to have to go and get it done ourselves at a non-diagnostic place. The kid isn’t born yet and is already making us pay for things!
Congrats, man.
Thanks. We are quite happy with the outcome.
Nizzzzzze! Girls are fun, expensive, but fun!:) Mine is doing awesome , guess I should start a blog; yeah right, I’m to freaking lazy… Congrats. Don’t for get to post the pics.
Hey Joe, glad to hear that your daughter is doing good! I heard that she might be coming home soon? That’s just awesome. Send me any updated pictures of her.
I’ll be sure to plaster the entire online space with pictures when I have them for sure!
